Management Development Services (MDS) is a partnership of companies that aims to equip young people with the experience, training and mind-set so they have the confidence and ability to rapidly become senior business leaders within the industry.
Chaired by Groceries Code Adjudicator, Christine Tacon, its membership includes growers, suppliers and retailers from the food and fresh produce industry including Aldi, Angus Soft Fruits, BASF, Del Monte Quality, Flamingo Horticulture, Pepisco and Riverford Organic Farms.
JCM was approached to develop a marketing and PR strategy that would deliver a wider reach within the industry through different channels. A key objective was to increase the number of members who could offer placements to graduates.
As well as writing a strategy document for MDS, JCM’s role includes writing press releases, coordinating press briefing events across the UK for print and broadcast media, capturing and generating film and photography, advising on social media engagement, providing contacts and networks for potential new members and supporting the in-house marketing and communications team at MDS.
After initial successful delivery in 2017, JCM continues to work with MDS on an ongoing basis.
